This scale works exactly as expected -- the ability to "reset" it's reading to zero so as to discount the weight of a plate or other item already on the scale is a huge plus.
The only issue I've noticed after about a week of use is that the chrome scale portion (I got the black chrome) does seem to scratch lightly. No doubt that's because I've put various plates, bowls, etc on it to hold the items that I'm weighing and it definitely hasn't impacted the functionality of the unit, but it does mar the looks a bit.
Still, this is definitely a good scale and considering it's price is a great deal.

Since I am on Weight Watchers, I wanted a scale to help me with portion control. The scale is accurate. The price was excellent. The product is great for people on the program. I need accurate weight for food when I am calculating my points...Overall, a great product...Very pleased..

This kitchen scale should be considered if you have space constraints in the kitchen; its small footprint - and dimensions for that matter - mean you do not have to worry too much about losing precious counter-top space in the kitchen. Or, if you choose to store it in a cupboard between uses, it occupies perhaps as much space as a small ring binder, thickness-wise.

With regards to its accuracy, sure it's not an analytical balance that will give you readings to the milligram accuracy, but its still precise; I tested with several items of known weight (e.g. my cell phone, computer mouse, pre-measured amounts of sugar) and the error was at most +/- 2 grams. I did not do the same for the other units of measurement, but I suspect they will present a similar degree of precision.

Perhaps the only upgrade I would consider for this unit is the option to have the scale powered by a wall socket.

This product is great. Small enough to easily stow into a kitchen drawer, it takes up no space at all on my countertop, and it gives me consistent readings use after use. It's been excellent in keeping my diet on track and keeping my portions in check.

This scale is very easy to use. I use bowls, small plates, etc on the scale and with a simple tap of the on button, it zeros out the weight of the bowl and gives you an accurate weight on the food. I use it daily. Very convenient and it is an attractive little scale too! Highly recommended.
