This machine is perfect for what it is suppose to be used for which is powders or grainuals or small metals or rocks under the size of a fifty cent piece. If you try to use anything larger you might get different readings and remember that it ONLY WEIGHTS UP TO 20 grams. Anything over that and you will get an error message. Perfect for me.

When I tried out this unit it said "OVER" when turning it on and then turned itself off. I tried going through the calibration procedure numerous times only to be met with an "Err" on the screen after putting on the 10g weight as instructed.
The process to get my refund was very smooth and my shipping was prepaid which most retailers won't do. I am happy with Amazon and very unhappy with American Weigh -- improve your quality control.

works as expected...
calibration calls for using 2 weights, but scale only has holding space for 1. (it does come with both weights)
would become useless if the tray is lost.. weighing surface is in a grove that you couldnt easily place items on (too small inside of groove)

My Doctor is trying to lower my dosage of medication without a lot of side effects. With this scale it is accurate and works perfect.

The only reason it got a 4 star is because the surface area of the weighing device is smaller than I would have expected. It comes with a tray that works beautifully, but is still a bit small for some of the items I work with.
